It finally happened and the old hardware failed after 4.5 years. Now, we have a shiny new server and more HDD space. I'll be rearranging the bots soon to take advantage of the new capacity.

HDD failure

The server has experienced a HDD on its data drive. I am attempting to restore the files from the malfunctioning HDD but only Lady Luck will tell how well that will go.

Since the help never came for getting an HDD for the server, I didn't feel the need to pony up $200 more than I do now (which $1450 per year). However, otakubot's hosting company has finally offered some reasonable prices for hardware. So, you can look forward to a big expansion from 60GB to 400GB. Plus, the server will get more memory.

I am still here and kicking. Just there not been much in the way of donations; there hasn't been any changes in server itself. I might just bite the bullet and upgrade the HDD just to have some retention past 2 weeks. :)

I am considering purchasing a 300GB HDD, server has 63GB available, to allow this bot to enter more groups and have the files available longer. This upgrade will cost $200 and I'm hoping users will come to my aid on this goal. OtakuBot website launch
